Senator Adam P. Ebbin fights for progressive priorities including preventing gun violence, making it easier to vote, preserving reproductive freedom, and equality for all Virginians.

Adam took office in 2012 after serving eight years in the House of Delegates. 

He was reelected in 2023 in the newly-redrawn 39th Senate District to continue representing Alexandria and portions of Arlington and Fairfax counties.

Virginians voted in new districts in 2023. While the district numbers and boundaries changed, Adam was reelected to keep representing Alexandria and parts of Arlington and Fairfax counties in the 39th Senate District.

A WELCOMING VIRGINIA

Adam passed a bill outlawing discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, making Virginia the first state in the South to create these protections for the LGBT community. 

SAFE COMMUNITIES

Adam passed a law that made it a crime to bring a firearm into any state-owned facility or onto the grounds of the State Capitol in Richmond.
