Subject: Very interesting medical book
Subject: Very interesting medical book
For its time this book is fairly advanced and modern. Some years ago we used to have a copy of it but someone must have thrown it away in the meantime.
The pdf edition showing a facsimile version is very good, the Kindle edition however, which I also downloaded, is absolutely illegible. You can't expect, of course, that an OCR program recognizes the old German Fraktur script correctly (well, maybe there is one that does, but the one used for this book definitely doesn't) but I wonder why no one noticed the gibberish the OCR software made of it. Aren't the texts checked before they're uploaded to this page? I'm sorry to say that the Kindle (and probably other e-book versions, I didn't check them all) are not fit to be presented online to anyone. That's why I can only give it four out of five stars. To anyone who wants check out this book (and it's definitely worth doing!): Please use the facsimile (e.g. PDF) versions! And to the uploader: Please do something about the Kindle version!
