Reversion of addition of FoP template
editHello. Why did you reverted my addition of FoP template to your image of an obviously-copyrighted U.S. architecture? While it is not mandated, it has been the norm to add relevant FoP templates to images of recent architectures and monuments of around 80+ countries with some form of FoP, to ensure compliance with the copyright laws and as a form of notice to reusers on usage of copyrighted works. - Because it was a broken template and because, if I understand correctly, buildings are not prohibited under FoP in the United States. Michael Barera (talk) 17:01, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, FoP is broad for architecture in the U.S., but it's still recommended to add FoP template. A couple of images of One World Trade Center and Walt Disney Concert Hall are tagged with this template. Regarding the technical aspect, {{FoP-US}} is perfectly fine. It is {{Licensed-FOP}} that is broken, and it has been posted on COM:Village pump/Technical. An edit to the container template, intended to add some margin to the left, broke the template. - OK, I'd be happy to have the FoP template back once it can be added without raw, broken code on the page. Michael Barera (talk) 18:49, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
