It was found in Parel, once one of the Seven Islands of Bombay, and now a neighbourhood of Mumbai, when a road was being constructed in 1931. It was moved to the nearby Baradevi Temple, where it remains in worship, in its own room. There is a plaster cast on display in the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (formerly the Prince of Wales Museum) in Mumbai. The relief, carved in \"white granite\", shows Shiva seven times, with a central image surrounded by six other Shiva images which overlap with each other; thus it is a saptamurti (\"seven images\") composition. All are two-armed except for the top figure which has ten arms. The images exhibit different mudras or hand gestures and some carry attributes, not all now identifiable. There are also five gana or dwarf musicians (or three musicians and two guardians) in the lower area of the piece. The slab is about 3.06 metres high (10.0 ft), or about 3.5 metres (11 ft), with the Shiva figures about three-quarter life-size. It appears to be unfinished, for example in the ganas at lower right. More precise estimates of the date (all are based on the style) are \"around 600\", or around 525\u2013530."@en ; dbo:wikiPageWikiLink dbr:Shiva , dbr:Relief , dbc:Sculptures_in_India , dbr:Parel , dbr:Granite , dbr:Devni_Mori , dbr:Trimurti , dbr:Brahma , dbr:Vishvarupa , dbr:Jogeshwari_Caves , dbr:Mumbai , dbr:Shamlaji , dbc:Gupta_art , , dbr:Linga , , dbr:Harihara , , dbr:Seven_Islands_of_Bombay , dbr:Gana , dbr:Chhatrapati_Shivaji_Maharaj_Vastu_Sangrahalaya , dbr:Krishna , dbr:Navaratri , dbr:Heinrich_Zimmer , dbr:Archaeological_Survey_of_India , dbr:Gupta_period , dbr:Mudra , dbr:Vishnu , dbr:Elephanta_Caves , dbr:Gujarat , dbr:Mumbai_Harbour , dbc:Shiva_in_art . @prefix dbp: . @prefix dbt: . dbr:Parel_Relief dbp:wikiPageUsesTemplate dbt:Convert , dbt:ISBN , dbt:Commons_category , dbt:Reflist , dbt:Use_Indian_English ; dbo:thumbnail ; dbo:wikiPageRevisionID 1095673806 ; dbo:wikiPageExternalLink , , , , . @prefix xsd: . dbr:Parel_Relief dbo:wikiPageLength "7005"^^xsd:nonNegativeInteger ; dbo:wikiPageID 62992887 . @prefix owl: . @prefix ns11: . dbr:Parel_Relief owl:sameAs ns11:C4UyR . @prefix wikidata: . dbr:Parel_Relief owl:sameAs wikidata:Q84135942 , dbr:Parel_Relief . @prefix prov: . dbr:Parel_Relief prov:wasDerivedFrom ; foaf:isPrimaryTopicOf wikipedia-en:Parel_Relief . dbr:Astamurti dbo:wikiPageWikiLink dbr:Parel_Relief . dbr:Shamlaji dbo:wikiPageWikiLink dbr:Parel_Relief . dbr:Parel_Shiva dbo:wikiPageWikiLink dbr:Parel_Relief ; dbo:wikiPageRedirects dbr:Parel_Relief .
