- The 2021–22 NHL season was the 105th season of operation (104th season of play) of the National Hockey League (NHL). The league expanded to 32 teams with the addition of the Seattle Kraken. The league had an October-to-April regular season scheduling and a full 82-game regular season for the first time since the 2018–19 NHL season as the previous two NHL seasons were shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The season began on October 12. On December 22, all games were suspended league-wide through at least December 26 (officially termed as an extension of the regularly scheduled Christmas break), in order to reconcile COVID-19 outbreaks that had impacted a large number of teams and resulted in various game postponements. Most teams were scheduled to resume play on December 28, but the home games of all seven Canadian teams through early January were further postponed due to COVID-19 attendance restrictions imposed by provincial health authorities. The playoffs concluded on June 26, with the Colorado Avalanche defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley Cup Finals in six games, winning their third Stanley Cup in franchise history. (en)
- Die NHL-Saison 2021/22 war die 105. Spielzeit der National Hockey League (NHL). Nach zwei durch die COVID-19-Pandemie verkürzten Saisons gelang es, zum üblichen Ablauf mit einer jeweils 82 Partien umfassenden regulären Saison vom 12. Oktober 2021 bis zum 1. Mai 2022 zurückzukehren. Auch die Einteilung der Divisions entsprach wieder der der Spielzeit 2019/20. Das Teilnehmerfeld wurde derweil um die neu gegründeten Seattle Kraken auf 32 Mannschaften erhöht. Die Florida Panthers gewannen als punktbestes Team der regulären Saison ihre erste Presidents’ Trophy. Die Scorerliste führte abermals Connor McDavid an und errang somit die Art Ross Trophy, während auch Auston Matthews seinen Titel als bester Torjäger der Liga und somit die Maurice Richard Trophy verteidigte. Matthews wurde am Saisonende auch als MVP mit der Hart Memorial Trophy sowie dem Ted Lindsay Award geehrt. Die Stanley-Cup-Playoffs 2022 begannen am 2. Mai 2022 und endeten am 26. Juni 2022 mit dem 4:2-Erfolg der Colorado Avalanche gegen die Tampa Bay Lightning. (de)

- Сезон НХЛ 2021/2022 стартовал 12 октября 2021 года и стал 105-м (104-м игровым) в истории Национальной хоккейной лиги. Перед сезоном лига расширилась до 32 клубов, включив в себя новую команду «Сиэтл Кракен». Обладателем Кубка Стэнли стал «Колорадо Эвеланш», который в финале обыграл «Тампу-Бэй Лайтнинг» со счётом 4-2. MVP плей-офф стал защитник «Эвеланш» Кейл Макар, а самым ценным игроком всего сезона был признан нападающий «Торонто Мейпл Лифс» Остон Мэттьюс. (ru)
