- Carson Sink is a playa in the northeastern portion of the Carson Desert in present-day Nevada, United States of America, that was formerly the terminus of the Carson River. Today the sink is fed by drainage canals of the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District. The southeastern fringe of the sink, where the canals enter, is a wetland of the Central Basin and Range ecoregion. This is mostly included within the Fallon National Wildlife Refuge and the Stillwater Wildlife Management Area. This area serves as an important stopover for migrating waterfowl. The Sehoo Formation is south of the Carson Sink. (en)
- Il Carson Sink è una depressione presente nel Gran Bacino, nel Nevada nord-occidentale, negli Stati Uniti. È parte del più esteso Carson Desert; il bacino è raggiunto dal e, in seguito all'istituzione del Truckee-Carson Irrigation District ed alla conseguente realizzazione di opere di canalizzazione per l'irrigazione dei terreni agricoli, da parte delle acque del fiume Truckee. - De Carson Sink is een endoreïsch bekken en zoutvlakte in het noordoosten van de in het westen van de Amerikaanse staat Nevada. Het is een van vele zoutvlaktes in het Grote Bekken, het grootste aaneengesloten gebied van endoreïsche bekkens in Noord-Amerika. De Carson Sink-zoutvlakte ligt grotendeels in Churchill County. De Carson Sink wordt gevoed door de Carson uit de Sierra Nevada in Californië, die echter doorgaans opgedroogd is voor ze de zoutvlakte bereikt. Het stroomgebied van de Carson Sink meet 51.380 km².
