- Fender Electrical Instrument Co. És una companyia que va ser creada, a mitjans de la dècada dels 40, per Leo Fender (10 d'agost de 1909 - 21 de març de 1991), dedicada a la producció d'instruments musicals i amplificadors. Els seus productes van ser innovadors en molts casos i molt populars amb les noves generacions de músics dels anys 50 i 60, va ajudar a crear “el so” de les noves tendències musicals. (ca)
- Fender amplifiers are a series of electric instrument amplifiers produced by the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation. The first guitar amplifiers attributed to Leo Fender were manufactured by the K&F Manufacturing Corporation (K&F) between 1945 and 1946. Later, Fender began building its own line of electric guitars. Fender amplifiers would become favorite of many famous guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, also known in these cases for playing Fender guitars. Fender amps have come in many configurations and styles. The early K&F and Fender amplifiers relied upon vacuum tube circuitry, with solid-state models appearing in the late 1960s. Fender frequently updated the internal circuitry of its amps, and changed their appearance throughout its history. (en)
