- Ο Πίνδος (λέγεται και Κανιανίτης) είναι μικρός ποταμός του νομού Φωκίδας. Πηγάζει ανάμεσα στα όρη Οίτη και Γκιώνα, ρέει κατά μήκος του δυτικού τμήματος της κοιλάδας της Γραβιάς και χύνεται στον ποταμό Κηφισό, κοντά στο χωριό Λιλαία. Κατά μήκος του Πίνδου ποταμού είχαν εγκατασταθεί οι Δωριείς κατά την κάθοδό τους προς την νότια Ελλάδα. Στην περιοχή ίδρυσαν τέσσερις πόλεις που σχημάτισαν αργότερα το κράτος της Δωρίδας. (el)
