- The spinotectal tract (spinomesencephalic tract, spinotectal fasciculus, spino-quadrigeminal system of Mott) arises in the spinothalamic tract and terminates in the inferior and superior colliculi. It is situated ventral to the lateral spinothalamic tract, but its fibers are more or less intermingled with it. In the brainstem the fibers run lateral from the inferior olive, ventro-lateral from the superior olive, then ventro-medial from the spinal tract of the trigeminal; the fibers come to lie in the medial portion of the lateral lemniscus. - Il tratto spinotettale ( tratto spinomesencefalico, fascicolo spinotettale, sistema spino-quadrigeminale di Mott ) sorge nel tratto spinotalamico e termina nei e . È situato ventrale al tratto spinotalamico laterale, ma le sue fibre sono più o meno mescolate con esso formando il lemnisco spinale. In esso le fibre originate a livello più craniale decorrono, dopo la decussazione, medialmente, mentre quelle originate più caudalmente decorrono in posizione laterale. Nel tronco cerebrale le fibre scorrono lateralmente dall'oliva inferiore, ventro-laterale dall'oliva superiore, quindi ventro-mediale dal tratto spinale del trigemino; le fibre vengono a trovarsi nella porzione mediale del lemnisco laterale .
