- Le timbira constitue un sous-groupe de la famille des langues jê. Les parlers timbira sont parlés au Brésil. (fr)
- Timbira is a dialect continuum of the Northern Jê language group of the Jê languages ̣(Macro-Jê) spoken in Brazil. The various dialects are distinct enough to sometimes be considered separate languages. The principal varieties, Krahô /ˈkrɑːhoʊ/ (Craó), and Canela /kæˈnɛlə/ (Kanela), have 2000 speakers apiece, few of whom speak Portuguese. Pará Gavião has 600–700 speakers. Krẽje, however, is nearly extinct, with only 30 speakers in 1995. Timibira has been intensive contact with various Tupi-Guarani languages of the lower Tocantins-Mearim area, such as Guajajára, Tembé, Guajá, and Urubú-Ka'apór. Ararandewára, Turiwára, Tupinamba, and Nheengatu have also been spoken in the area. Some of people in the area are also remembers of Anambé and Amanajé. (en)
- Non c'è unanimità, da parte degli studiosi, nella definizione della lingua (o delle lingue).Secondo alcuni, il Timbira è da considerarsi un continuum dialettale, secondo altri sarebbero invece un insieme di diverse lingue appartenenti ad uno stesso gruppo linguistico. In ogni caso si tratta di lingue o dialetti appartenenti alla Famiglia linguistica delle Lingue gê parlate in Brasile. (it)
- O timbira é uma língua jê falada pelos índios timbiras no Brasil ao leste do rio Tocantins.. (pt)
- Тимбира — диалектный континуум языковой семьи же. Различные разновидности достаточно отличаются, чтобы их рассмотреть как отдельные языки. Основные разновидности, крао и канела, имеют 2000 носителей для одного языка, некоторые из них говорят на португальском языке. Крейе почти вымер с почти 30 носителями (1995). (ru)
