Après un premier EP en 2009, leur premier album studio All Our Kings Are Dead sort en 2010. The members, working with each other in various musical interests throughout the 2000s, formally formed the band in 2008, and rose to prominence after their debut EP, Mirrors, earned them spots opening live shows for Bon Jovi and Guns N' Roses. Their debut album, All Our Kings Are Dead, on 12 July 2010. Their second album, Bones, was released in February 2012. Their single "Bones" reached no. 1 on the Billboard Active Rock charts in the US in May 2013. Their third album, Ones and Zeros, was released on 9 June 2015. L'ottima accoglienza delle produzioni ha dato loro notorietà e la band ha intrapreso un tour in supporto ai Bon Jovi e ai Lostprophets. Hanno preso parte anche a moltissimi festival nel Regno Unito e in Europa, esperienza culminata con la partecipazione al Reading Festival, in cui hanno suonato con Guns N' Roses e Queens of the Stone Age. Album promowały single Winter Kiss, Sons of Apathy, Crystal Clear, Stitchesoraz Weight of the World z EP Mirrors lecz piosenkę umieszczono również na albumie. Wkrótce do wszystkich singli zostały zrealizowane teledyski. 10 lipca 2011 roku została wydana reedycja albumu All Our Kings Are Dead o nazwie All Our Kings Are Dead: Gold Edition. Reedycja zawiera teledyski do wszystkich pięciu singli oraz nagrania akustyczne. 9 listopada 2011 roku zespół ogłosił nazwę ich drugiego albumu Bones, który miał mieć premierę 6 lutego 2012 roku. Pierwszym singlem z płyty było Learn My Lesson. Teledysk miał premierę 27 października 2011. Kolejnym singlem została tytułowa piosenka Bones,Dearly Departed oraz Towers (On My Way). Allmusic oceniło album na 3 gwiazdki i oceniając go jako "godny uwagi". (pl)
