Pups are a species created from a mixture of Dog, Rainicorn, and Shape-shifter DNA that started with Jake and Lady's offspring. They appear to be common in Ooo 1,000 years after the events of Adventure Time, and have their own kingdom: the Pup Kingdom.

According to the subtitles on these works, it appears that the power these Pups have at birth either disappears or is taken somehow. Gibbon’s powers are specifically titled “stolen!” implying some action removed his natural abilities.
