Introduction
|
Titania (ティターニア, Titānia) is the Queen of the Fae and the wife of Oberon.
Appearance
Titania is as tall as a human with large breasts and floor-length black hair that is parted at the center and violet eyes. Her dress is black and adorned with gold and she has a circlet that resembles green branches.
However, this is but her first appearance. Titania's appearance has actually been slightly different each time she appeared in the story.
As a queen, she is followed by an entourage including a foot soldier named Spriggan, a pack of wolves and a mule with a flower on it's head.
Personality
Unlike her husband Oberon, Titania is free spirited woman who will maintain an air of regalia in front of people. She has little patience, sending dogs to attack Oberon, and cast spells that force people away. Titania dominates her husband, physically manhandling him if he bothers Elias Ainsworth. She is a loving woman, appearing multiple times to aid Elias and Chise but due to her fae nature, her concept of love is rather possessive, a trait remarked upon by Elias. She in turn, has actually jested with him on it and noted it to be true.
History
Plot
Ulthar Arc
Titania and Spriggan meet in forest Elias with Simon, but Queen sends Simon away due to him being a priest before she spotted Oberon with sleeping Chise. With the King's help, Chise wakes up and is introduced to the King and Queen of the Fae.
Fairy Ointment Arc
Later, when Elias with Oberon bring Chise to Shannon, he meets Titania. She sees he's covered in blood, and she tells him that he doesn't belong to this world, and explains that Chise must be in the Fae Kingdom because she will soon die; after that, Elias tells her that he will raise Chise like a human, and she will be good.
Curse Arc
Skills and Abilities
Titania is capable of banishing _targets at a whim, and locating individuals throughout the entire United Kingdom (including Ireland), and seemingly beyond. She holds dominion over the Fae of the entire British Isles, and thus is likely the most powerful Fae, if not the most powerful entity in The Ancient Magus' Bride's universe, and is likely considered on par with gods, due to her affiliation with Morrígan, a Celtic Goddess. Being the Queen of All Fae means that she outranks even the likes of Ashen Eye, the most potent magic user outside of Titania.
