Hal is a green bird that appears in The Angry Birds Movie series.
Biological information
Appearance
Hal appears as a green anthropomorphic emerald toucanet and his design seems to be a combination between his classic game counterpart and his earlier cartoon appearance. His beak reverts into plain orange and has orange stubby feet. The black feathers on his head and tail are now green, and his stomach is now pale beige
Personality
Hal is an impressive musician known for playing the bongos and the banjo. He's a good-natured, friendly, free spirit who tries to stay out of the conflict between the birds and pigs, but reluctantly joins the defense when needed. Hal feels at home around a peaceful campfire and his best friend, Bubbles.

Hal was one of the attendees at Bomb's surprise party, but that blew up right onto his face. He, alongside his best friend Bubbles later began to work as musicians in the Anger Management courses taught by Matilda.
Once pigs sailed to the island, which showed themselves from the best side. Hal was at a party hosted by guests.
But it turned out that the goal of strangers was to steal eggs and swim to Piggy Island. After the eggs were missing, the birds supported Red and led the pack to carry out the mission to return them. The birds built a raft and took with them the slingshot from which the pigs had recently launched Red.
Arriving at Piggy Island, the Angry Birds attacked Leonard. Hal also participated, he was launched from a slingshot. But he accidentally used his ability (boomerang) back to it and stuck himself in a tree.

Hal could be seen reading the newspaper in front of banners with Red. Then he could be seen when pigs drop crabs on the birds on the beach, which were surrounded by Hal, one of which steals the wallet and takes money from it, and throws the thing away, but Red returned everything to Hal, rolling on the Bomb.
After that, he could be seen seeking shelter during the next attack of Zeta with a superweapon. At this point, he finds Ella and tells her that he does not remember what is happening, because Red promised to save them from the impending threat.

Hal cameos late into the book, appearing at the ceremony for Judge Peckinpah's new statue. He looks generally confused as the chaos of the ceremony happens around him.
What's Bothering Bomb?
Hal appears alongside Bubbles at Stella's dance studio, playing a drum. He evacuates along with the rest of the attendees when Bomb prepares to explode, and returns to congratulate Bomb when his explosion frees Chuck from a wall.

Hal appears as a very minor character and only shows in the Wheel of Fortune section of Angry Birds Action!.
Angry Birds Holiday
Hal made a notable appearance in Angry Birds Holiday and owned his own purchasable item from the store. The game was never released outside of soft launch, and Rovio announced that the game stopped development. It was shut down as of December 21, 2016.
As the game was never given a worldwide release, not much is exactly known about it, or Hal's involvement. It is known that his item, the "Adventure Club", could be bought with in-game currency, unlocking Hal in the process.

Hal makes an appearance in the opening cutscene in The Angry Birds Movie 2 VR: Under Pressure.

In The Angry Birds Movie, Hal and Bubbles are portrayed as best friends, as their voice actors are

fame. They are first seen attending Matilda's Infinity Acceptance Center together, and throughout the movie they are seen alongside each other, such as in the audience for the show prepared for Leonard and the pigs, and when Red instructs the birds of Bird Island to build a boat.
In the short The Angry Birds Movie - Hal and Bubbles, the two birds have a conversation on Bird Island Beach on how they don't look like "angry birds" much. After attempting to be "angry", they reconcile to stay friends instead.
