The things that we think define us are the lies that enslave us.Gaspar
Gaspar (died in the 420s BCE), also known as the Gatekeeper, was a member of the Order of Dominion branch of the Order of the Ancients, who operated in Messenia, Greece during the Peloponnesian War.
Biography
Born a slave, Gaspar was at some point recruited into the Order of Dominion. As a member of the branch, Gaspar specialized in her research of the Isu,[1] keeping Gergis, the Magus of the branch, apprised of her findings as she scoured Messenia for information about "Those Who Came Before".[2]
Confirming Amorges' claim that "the Gate" had been found, Gaspar was even keener to learn more about the Isu. She arranged a meeting with the "wild men of Messenia", the Followers of Ares, in order to gain access to the treasure trove of information they held in their stories and rituals.[2] Encountering a group of them in the sloughs of the Bay of Hades, she was told that their chieftain had been revealed through visions Gaspar's intentions, and that she was welcome to their cave-base at the Terror Gorge in the northeastern Messenia.[3]
Gaspar also agreed with Dimokrates that the time of the Cult of Kosmos was over, and she eagerly offered her blade to deal with them, should Gergis express any desire for it.[2]
While at the cave, Gaspar conversed with the Chieftain. Their meeting was disrupted by the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who had tracked down Gaspar in order to demolish the Order of Dominion. In the following clash, Gaspar was slain.[4]
