Saint Kenhelm (c. 786 – 811) was an Anglo-Saxon saint worshipped and venerated in England during the Medieval period.

Kenhelm notably had a cult following in Gloucestershire, and had a church in Gloucester and a shrine dedicated to him in the 9th century.[1] Around 876, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir accompanied Tewdwr, who was to be the next ealdorman after Cynon, to the shrine to pray for blessings.[2]

Behind the scenes

In various legends, Kenhelm is listed as having reigned as a King of Mercia.
