Schiza is an island south of Peloponnese, specifically Messenia. In the 5th century BCE, a shipwreck laid on its eastern shore.
History
Around 430s BCE, the island served as the remote training place of the Spartan pankratist Testikles. In 428 BCE, the misthios Kassandra was charged with escorting Testikles to the Olympic Games in Elis, and this journey took her to the island.[1][2]
Later, in 420s BCE, the island was where Amorges, the leader of the Order of Dominion branch of the Order of the Ancients, hid Darius II and his ward, Elpidios, the son of Kassandra and Natakas.[3] On the continent, the Memorial to the Magi was placed atop a hill that had a clear view of the island.[4]
Behind the scenes
Schiza is never named in canon, either in dialogues or quest descriptions, but an island repeatedly visited over the course of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey is located where Schiza is.
