Family Soft (株式会社ファミリーソフ) is a former video game developer and publisher.
History
Family Soft was founded in 1987 and headquartered in Nerima, Tokyo. The company worked with both video game development and publishing, producing many licensed titles. The company maintained a close relationship with Fill in Cafe, publishing most of the titles in the Asuka 120% series and financing various Fill in Cafe projects. When Fill in Cafe declared bankruptcy in 1998, Family Soft acquired all of their intellectual properties.
After 2000, however, the company mainly existed to handle their owned properties, with their last official releases being in 2011 when they released some of their titles for the PlayStation Network service. Their official site was closed down around 2013/2014, while their intellectual properties were transferred to Opera House KK during this time. It is currently unknown if the company remains in business.
