Breath of Fire: The Dragon Warrior is a two-part Japanese manga based on the first Breath of Fire game.
The manga, written by Hiroshi Yakumo, was initially published episodically in Family Computer Magazine, starting with the first chapter on April 2, 1993; one day before Breath of Fire was released on Super Famicom in Japan.
Two full volumes of Part 1 and Part 2 were published by Tokuma Shoten Intermedia in Japan on December 20, 1993 and June 20, 1994, respectively.
A separate manga based on Breath of Fire entitled Breath of Fire: Princess of Wings was released by Jump Comics from 1994 - 1995.

Plot
The manga is based on the events of the first Breath of Fire. The plot generally stays true to the game while also including new situations and characters, including Bo's son Dele who was not featured in the game.
