This hair piece is often used as an "in-between" hairstyle in the LEGO movies, portraying Jay and Kai's wind-swept hair in the helicopter scene in The LEGO Ninjago Movie and Emmet's hair when it goes back to its normal style at the end of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.
- This means Kai and the Joker have both used each other's hair pieces in their respective LEGO movie appearances, as the Joker briefly had Kai's hair in The LEGO Batman Movie.
  - Benthomaar from the Ninjago TV series also uses both.
This hair has been used frequently in the Ninjago TV series since the animation studio transfer from Wil Film to Wildbrain. It appears on Twitchy Tim and several background characters including Prime Empire avatars.
- For some reason, however, Twitchy Tim had Doc Brown's hair in his minifigure render from the Ninjago Magazine.
