Funkcija
urediProtein kodiran ovim genom je komponenta F-tipa ATPaze pronađene u mitohondrijskom matriksu. ATPaze F tipa sastoje se od katalitskog jezgra i membranskog protonskog kanala. Čini se da je kodirani protein dio konektora koji povezuje ove dvije komponente i može biti uključen u prijenos konformacijskih promjena ili kondukciju protona.[5]
