Daniel Louis "Dan" Castellaneta (born October 29, 1957) is an American actor, voice actor, comedian and screenwriter. Best-known for his long-running role as Homer Simpson on the animated television series The Simpsons, he voices many other characters on the show, including Abraham Simpson, Barney Gumble, Krusty the Clown, Groundskeeper Willie, Mayor Quimby, and Hans Moleman. Outside of The Simpsons, he has also done notable voice work on other animated shows, including Megavolt on Darkwing Duck, the titular character on Earthworm Jim, Grandpa Phil on Hey Arnold!, and the animated version of Dr. Emmett Brown in Back to the Future: The Animated Series. He also succeeded Robin Williams as the Genie in The Return of Jafar, the Aladdin TV series, and a few video games.
