Animated 3D Canvases & SVG's

seen.js

I came accross this library a few days ago, and I simply can't stop thinking
about using it on one of my sites.
There are few things I will ever add to a
site, simply because it's eye candy; but seen.js is just
too much of an eye catcher for me not to.

From the silky-smooth animation, to the colorful minimalism of the shapes, this
is easily one of my favorite libraries. However, that's not to say it doesn't have
any faults.

The documentation needs some work, and if your new to JavaScript then you will
find using this library a challenge. But in my opinion, neither of those is a
deal breaker.

3D Bunnies

Pros

  • Looks Amazing
  • Open Source
  • Super Smooth Animations
  • Makes 3D models much easier
  • Easily makes any page memorable

Cons

  • Docs need to be extended
  • Not easy for new developers

Conclusion

While seen.js may not be perfect the way it is, it does make a great impression
and sets the bar for drawing attention. Which is why I will be find room for
it on at least one of my websites.

Keep in mind that it runs slowly and hogs CPU if GPU acceleration is unavailable in the browser.

This looks amazing. Is there a similar alternative to this that doesn't rely so heavily on GPU acceleration?
