English: The palace of the ancient city Idalion is the main excavated section in the city. It is estimated that the excavated area is only 1/4 (the north-west quarter) of the whole palace, and it includes:

A surrounding fortification wall (not fully excavated)
courtyard A, including a well
3 wings of about 20 rooms (most or all of them for storage) and a tower around courtyard A in the centre of the north of the palace (the west wing of the courtyard wasn't excavated)
A set of olive oil mills and presses at a lower level on the north-western terrace
A west gate
A large set of buildings to the south of the excavated area, including a cistern, a tower and two blocks of buildings joined to it, with functions both for copper-processing workshop and likely military accommodation
courtyard B, between the southern set of buildings and the western wall
A zig-zag road which runs from the west gate, north to courtyard B, between the press area and the southern set of buildings, and leads to the courtyard A.

The palace functioned as the administrative centre of the kingdom of Kition and Idalion from the Achaemenid era to the Ptolemaic era, and a big Phoenician archive (about 730 ostraca) was found in various proportions throughout the excavated area.

הארמון תפקד כמרכז מנהלי של ממלכת כתיון ואידליון (בפיניקית "כתי ואדיל") בין התקופה הפרסית לתקופה התלמאית, ונמצא בו ארכיון פיניקי גדול (כ־730 אוסטרקונים) בריכוזים משתנים.
