- Well, the reason for deletion was listed in the rationale. There is direct evidence of copyvio for at least two pictures, other pictures have nothing in common -- different cams, different resolutions, different dates in EXIF (when it's present). The only common thing with these pictures -- uploader, who was indefblocked in ru-wiki for persistent copyright violations and hardly can be trusted. Trycatch (talk) 04:58, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

Да не мои.Я думаю, что их владелец не будет против.Но если все так принципиально (по закону), то оставьте ваш емайл и вы получите от него разрешение. И почему тут пишут на английском.Мои файлы что еще где то использованы. И кстати исправьте, река Бзугу в министерские озера не впадает и не вытекает (они искусственные), наоборот озера впадают в реку.
- Понятно, спасибо. У меня к вам еще одна просьба -- не могли бы вы правильно указать дату (хотя бы год) создания фотографий в графе «Дата»? Что касается фотографий из ру-вики, которые делали не вы, то автор должен посылать разрешение через w:ru:ВП:OTRS. По поводу правок в статье -- почему бы вам не попытаться разблокироваться в русской Википедии и не сделать правки самостоятельно? Разблокироваться это как.Точных дат не помню, но фото самое красивое центровое, я сделал зимой в 2006 году, а фото с трубой летом в 2004 году.

Comment I'm not sure I understand why that is an argument for keeping the file. It's being used in an article which should have a true image of the temple (like File:Tour nagsh-e-rostam iran.jpg) rather than this version. As the creator of the file i feel that the map at its current state would perhaps be best removed from wikipedia until the many issues are sorted out. I am sorry to say that i have not been active on addressing the inputs and comments from various editors but also on improving the overall quality and accuracy of the map. However I will personally archive all related comments and create a completely new version of the file addressing raised concerns, including svg shaded region, a background raster image of a clearer and more accurate terrain map of the region. The source of these drawings are based on "History and Commercial Atlas of China" from 1935. I see that it will be appropriate to seek out further sources and, as the map is animated, print the source on each of the territorial map so as to provide different pov. I cannot get to work on these right away, but I'm looking at next spring to be the latest for the first upload of a revamped version. --Ian Kiu (talk) 22:31, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

- Comment But who is who? Z. Wąsiel should send an OTRS permission to use DW of his work. We can assume that zwasiel is Z. Wąsiel, but looking at his multiple accounts, out of which some were used to upload also non-ZW works and DWs of other authors, I think it is reasonable to request a contact from a sculptor himself (or actually ask an uploader for it)? Moreover permission requests from zwasiel user talk page were removed three times ([5]) by two different socket puppets (and once by IP as early as in 2008!). - Comment The right to keep of such photos depends of various subjects. If photo is taken on permament display (e.g. in museums, in streets) we can usually keep it (it depends of the country). See -> Commons:Freedom of panorama. If it is not a permament display we can't. Costumes from films made by funs usually alowed, too; see template:costume. The photo should be on free licence, as well. It seem that this exhibition was a temporary one, to my regret... Regards Electron

This photo has a Windows popup dialog on it, and as such may very likely be a copyright violation of Windows design. That said, this is a borderline case and I admit I'm not as familiar with it as I should be. - Hello. Updating this Wiki entry was my first attempt to do so, but my reason for then is the same as it is now. These 4 or 5 images were taken PRIOR to 1923, and as such i was under the impression copyright laws are out the window and this should be a non moot case to begin with. If that is NOT the case however, could you explain how i can go about updating various META tags on these images such that they are NOT flagged for deletion by folks who, in no fault of their own, probably took only 30s out of their day to review the data and come up with their diagnosis? - I'll concede that tagging this for speedy deletion was overly zealous. Sorry about that. Gary, what you need to do is find the Edit tab at the top of the file description page of File:Kurt hike 2.jpg. File description pages are edited the same way as you would edit any other wiki page. The Author parameter should be set to the name of the photographer of the photo. Is Tony Deseta the name of the photographer? The Date parameter should be set to the date, year or at least decade when the photo was taken. {{PD-ineligible}} should only be used for works that are in the public domain because they are too simple to merit copyright protection. This photo is not too simple to have been protected by copyright at some point, but that copyright may have expired. If you provide details on when and where the photo was published, we will hopefully be able to figure out if, for example, {{PD-1923}} applies instead. —LX (talk, contribs) 17:14, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for the info. Tony Deseta was the purchaser of these photos i posted, not the original photographer, so unfortunately i do not think i can provide that information. However Tony has told me that these images were indeed taken prior to 1923, in fact in 1919, so it's my hope that as a result these images can remain on Wiki's site. I will update the image meta tags now in the hopes it satisfies the requirements for uploaded Wiki images. If it turns out that the photographer's name is still required i'll understand if they need to be removed. thanks again for your time, gary
