English: Óli Holm, board member of Suðuroyar Sparikassi, gave a speech on 21 June 2012, when Petursplássið in Vágur opened. Føroyskt: Óli Holm, nevndarlimur í Suðuroyar Sparikassa, heldur her røðu í samband við, at Suðuroyar Sparikassi hevði gjørt eitt nýtt pláss, Petursplássið, beint eystanfyri Sparikassan, har standmynd av Petur á Gørðunum (Petur Dahl) varð avdúkað. Petur Dahl (1878-1947) var ein av stovnarunum av Suðuroyar Sparikassa, hann var fyrsti borgarstjórin í Vágs kommunu og var við til at seta á stovn fleiri slóðbrótandi hendingar, sum t.d. at Føroya fyrsta elverk, vatnorkuverkið í Botni, varð bygt og tikið í nýtslu í 1921, Vágs Havn varð gjørd í 1925 og at nýggi tráðbanin á Eiðinum varð gjørdur og tikin í brúk í 1929. Óli Holm hevur verið landsstýrismaður í mentamálum 2001-02 og forseti í FSF 2004-2008. |
