| Description |
English: Share certificate in the barque Grootmeester Nationaal for 500 guilders, issued in Dordrecht in December 1857, signed by the shipowners Jacob Mauritz, Florent van Wageningen and Johannes van Oldenborgh. The sailing ship was built at the shipyard of Jan Schouten, co-founder of the Lodge La Flamboyante. All shareholders, directors, ship's captains and workers of the shipping company, founded in 1835, were Freemasons. The Dutch Prince Frederik Willem Karel was also among the shareholders. Freemasons from all over the Netherlands participated in the financing of the Bark Grootmeester Nationaal.
Nederlands: Bewijs van Aandeel in de Barkship Grootmeester Nationaal voor 500 gulden, uitgegeven in Dordrecht in december 1857, ondertekend door de reders Jacob Mauritz, Florent van Wageningen en Johannes van Oldenborgh. Het zeilschip werd gebouwd op de scheepswerf van Jan Schouten, medeoprichter van de loge La Flamboyante. Alle aandeelhouders, directeuren, scheepskapiteins en arbeiders van de in 1835 opgerichte rederij waren vrijmetselaars. Ook prins Frederik Willem Karel behoorde tot de aandeelhouders. Vrijmetselaren uit heel Nederland werkten mee aan de financiering van de Grootmeester Nationaal. |
