Seiring perkembangan zaman saat ini selodang dan bernian susah ditemukan, sehingga penggantinya yaitu gambus dan akordeon. Selain itu, dalam musik Jepin Pisau terdapat syair. Syair yang digunakan adalah syair dalam bahasa Indonesia yang mengisahkan tentang kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat dengan tujuan untuk memberi nasehat kepada masyarakat agar menjalankan kehidupan dunia ini sesuai syariat agama Islam.
