Object history |
Français : Ce sont les armes de la famille éteinte de Veyrier, qui a revêtu dès le XIVe siècle la bourgeoisie de Genève. Dès le XVe siècle on trouve des de Veyrier membres du Conseil, puis syndics de la communauté de Genève. Comme armoiries ils ont utilisé un écu coupé aux émaux inconnus portant une aigle au premier et des bandes au deuxième. La commune de Veyrier les a adoptées avec l'aigle dans un chef. Les couleurs choisies symbolisent les prés et les bois alternant avec les champs de blé mûr. |
