Description
English: Distribution map of the Eurasian Jay (Garrulus glandarius). The map shows the distribution of all eight recognized subspecies groups, each in a different colour. Red : group atricapillus (Middle East, South-Eastern Europe) ; warm yellow : group bispecularis (South-Eastern Asia, Himalaya) ; yellow-green : group brandtii (Siberia, Korea, Northern Japanese islands) ; cyan-green : group cervicalis (Northern Africa) ; cyan : type group glandarius (Europe) ; blue : group hyrcanus (Iran) ; purple : group japonicus (Japan) ; magenta : group leucotis (South-Eastern Asia). Modified after Donkey shot’s map, with added data from iNaturalist about South-Eastern Europe.
