Description Two U.S. Air Force Sikorsky HH-53C Super Jolly Green Giant helicopters from the 39th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Wing over Goose Bay, Canada, while en route from Eglin Air Force Base, Florida (USA), to RAF Woodbridge, Suffolk (UK), on 11 June 1978. The HH-53Cs were transferred to the 67th ARRS. The HH-53C 68-8284 (nearer to the camera) was later converted to an MH-53J (later MH-53M) and was donated in 2008 to the RAF Museum. It is on display at the National Cold War Exibitions Building at RAF Cosford, Shropshire (UK). 68-8284 history
