pelvisand discrete casts of some of the calices (Fig. 8). In the region of the leftureteropelvic junction is a shadow which is interpreted as probably a stone inthe stump of the ureter. Subsequent History.—This patient has not been operated upon,but the roentgen findings seem definite enough to warrant the diag-nosis as made. Case VI. M. R., male, aged 40, referred by Dr. Spitzer, October 27, 1915. Hewas then a patient at the National Jewish Hospital for Consumptives inDenver. Physical findings of his chest, as reported by the hospital, are asfollows: Moist rales at the base of the left lung, with slight involvement ofthe right apex. No tubercle bacilli were found in his sputum while he was aninmate of the hospital. His general condition was good. Clinical diagnosis:tuberculosis of both lungs.
