English: A Latvian army soldier provides security for U.S. Army soldiers and Polish Army Police Transition Team (PTT) members as they visit an Iraqi police station in Al Shamiya, Iraq, Oct. 21, 2006. Latvian soldiers are providing security for the Polish PTT who are visiting Iraqi police stations to ensure they are being run in accordance with Iraqi law. The Polish PTT is responsible in helping train the Iraqi police force to prepare them to better protect the citizens of Iraq. |
