| Description |
Français : Magnétophone. English: The Philips tape recorder of the Maestro series. Late 1950s or early 1960s. There were probably hundreds of models in the family, all with the same mech and the same controls. This one stands out for its stylish white and ivory trim pieces. The lettering is in French. The Bi-Ampli trademark originally meant biamplification - two separate amps for bass and treble speakers (that was well before stereo). However, very soon Philips began slapping the Bi-Ampli logo on almost everything that had more than one speaker (not amp!). It is not certain if this machine is true of fake Bi-Ampli. |
