Description
English: A yellow smoke grenade explodes at the rear of a Centurion tank of A Squadron, 1st Armoured Regiment (1AR) RAAC in the jungle in front of a soldier. Smoke grenades were used to help helicopter pilots gauge wind direction at Landing Zones (LZ) as well as identifying enemy/friendly positions.
