Germanicus
nephew and adopted son of emperor Tiberius, heir of the Roman Empire
- Germanicus Julius Caesar, possibly Nero Claudius Drusus Germanicus before adoption (15 BC–AD October 10, 19) was a member of the Julio-Claudian dynasty of the early Roman Empire. Germanicus' parents were Antonia Minor and Nero Claudius Drusus, the brother of emperor Tiberius (who also adopted Germanicus as his heir). Emperor Claudius was his younger brother. Germanicus married Agrippina the Elder, who gave him nine children, among them emperor Caligula and empress Agrippina Minor.
