Autopatrol given
editHello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. 99of9 (talk) 12:02, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

Picture of the Year voting round 1 open
editDear Wikimedians,
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2012 Picture of the Year competition is now open. We're interested in your opinion as to which images qualify to be the Picture of the Year for 2012. Voting is open to established Wikimedia users who meet the following criteria:
- Users must have an account, at any Wikimedia project, which was registered before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC].
- This user account must have more than 75 edits on any single Wikimedia project before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC]. Please check your account eligibility at the POTY 2012 Contest Eligibility tool.
- Users must vote with an account meeting the above requirements either on Commons or another SUL-related Wikimedia project (for other Wikimedia projects, the account must be attached to the user's Commons account through SUL).
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. From professional animal and plant shots to breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historically relevant images, images portraying the world's best architecture, maps, emblems, diagrams created with the most modern technology, and impressive human portraits, Commons features pictures of all flavors.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topic categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you can vote for as many images as you like. The first round category winners and the top ten overall will then make it to the final. In the final round, when a limited number of images are left, you must decide on the one image that you want to become the Picture of the Year.
To see the candidate images just go to the POTY 2012 page on Wikimedia Commons
Wikimedia Commons celebrates our featured images of 2012 with this contest. Your votes decide the Picture of the Year, so remember to vote in the first round by January 30, 2013.
Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee

Notification about possible deletion
editSome contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.
If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

--Accurimbono (talk) 12:12, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
- OK, mi ci metto appena possibile! GRAZIE! --Pietromarialiuzzo (talk) 21:33, 23 February 2015 (UTC)

Fasti Ostienses
editHello Accurimbono, as you're experienced with Latin inscriptions do you know by chance where is this inscription located right now? Is it in Italy? Is there any possibility to take its photo? It's part of Fasti Ostiences so maybe you know anything about it? Thanks. Jaqeli 11:21, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hi @Jaqeli: !
- As you can read here the inscription is nowadays in a private collection in Germany. (latin/italian: "Locus adservationis: Germania, Collezione Privata")
- No further details about the identity/location. The inscription has been recorded in the EDR database by "Mizzoni ELISA" on 23-07-2012.
- I don't know how can I help you. I'm sorry. --Accurimbono (talk) 14:31, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks anyways. Cheers. Jaqeli 18:22, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

Grazie, Nemo 16:01, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

Pronunciazioni italiani
editBuongiorno,
Otourly (talk) 18:26, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
We need your feedback!
editHello. Apologies if this message is not in your native language: please feel free to respond in the language of your choice. Thank you!
I am writing to you because we are looking for feedback for a new Wikimedia Foundation project, Structured Data Across Wikimedia (SDAW). SDAW is a grant-funded programme that will explore ways to structure content on wikitext pages in a way that will be machine-recognizable and -relatable, in order to make reading, editing, and searching easier and more accessible across projects and on the Internet. We are now focusing on designing and building image suggestion features for experienced users.
We have some questions to ask you about your experience with uploading images here on Wikimedia Commons and then adding them to Wikipedia. You can answer these questions on a specific feedback page on Mediawiki, where we will gather feedback. As I said, these questions are in English, but your answers do not need to be in English! You can also answer in your own language, if you feel more comfortable.
Once the collecting of feedback will be over, we will sum it up and share with you a summary, along with updated mocks that will incorporate your inputs.
Also, if you want to keep in touch with us or you want to know more about the project, you can subscribe to our newsletter.
Hope to hear from you soon! -- Sannita (WMF) (talk to me!) 09:56, 2 August 2021 (UTC)

Threecharlie (talk) 20:40, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
- Ciao,
Accurimbono (talk) 08:00, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
:) Accurimbono (talk) 08:03, 24 May 2024 (UTC)

DenghiùComm (talk) 12:16, 24 May 2024 (UTC)

--Phyrexian ɸ 15:47, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
Round 1 of Picture of the Year 2023 voting is open!
editDear Wikimedian,
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2023 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighteenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2023) to produce a single Picture of the Year.
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and top 5% of most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.
Round 1 will end on UTC.
Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee

Inscriptions of Roman military personnel
editHi Accurimbono,
I've seen that you've created lots of inscriptions of ancient Rome, including some with Roman military personnel. Thanks a lot for that. I've made changes to Category:CIL XI 006167 and I'd like you to have a look at it.
1) I've created Category:Honorific inscription for Lucius Octavius Rufus, that contains all the pictures pertaining to this single object, that is displayed. It also contains Category:Ancient Roman inscriptions in Palazzo Ducale (Urbino), i.e., the place, where this object is on display. There might be copies of the object in other places, which would then get their own category, for example Category:Honorific inscription for Lucius Octavius Rufus (copy in Rome).
2) I use categories for inscriptions, like Category:CIL XI 006167, only to store information pertaining to the inscription itself, but not information pertaining to the place, where the object is on display. Therefore, I've removed Category:Ancient Roman inscriptions in Palazzo Ducale (Urbino) from Category:CIL XI 006167.
3) You've created categories for the EDR- and EDCS-numbers, which is fine, since they are kind of concordances, and you've added them to Category:CIL XI 006167, which makes perfect sense to me. But I was wondering, if it is beneficial, to add for example, Category:Lucius Octavius Rufus to the EDR- and EDCS-numbers, because now I have 3 inscriptions in the Category:Lucius Octavius Rufus, which are basically only one single inscription. Therefore I was first thinking to remove Category:Lucius Octavius Rufus from the EDR- and EDCS-numbers, but then I had second thoughts about it. The EDR- and EDCS-numbers are additional information, which might be helpful, so I left them untouched.
Please let me know, what your thoughts are about it. Greetings Agentjoerg (talk) 05:34, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
