Hi Jeff! Thanks for keeping the Category:Incomplete deletion requests clean. Just wanted to let you know about User:FlightTime/diff-permalink, which on diff pages gives you a small link (like Special:Diff/974470354) instead of a big link (like https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Jeff_G.&diff=prev&oldid=974470354). It's particularly useful when linking to diffs in deletion tags, since "real" links aren't clickable in the deletion logs, but wikilinks are. No obligation to use, of course, but figured I might as well drop you a note :). —‍Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 15:39, 23 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Mdaniels5757: Thanks, doing that manually was a pain, so I wasn't consistent with it, esepecially when I was in a rush. I'm sorry about that. special:diff is also better for the http crowd, but it doesn't translate cross-wiki (looking at block reasons from special:centralauth on other wikis, one would have to come to Commons to look at such a link in the block log, unless the tagger and blocking Admin prepended "c:").
