File:Bob Holness.JPG has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

- Hi Lanzinho, you tried to change the image description after this message. This is a misunderstanding: you took the image from the internet without permission, which means: you do not have the right to upload it here. "own work" means, that you took the image yourself with a camera in your hand. No screenshot, no download. Thanks for understanding. --Elya (talk) 21:08, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
This message was added automatically by Nikbot, if you need some help about it please read the text above again and follow the links in it, if you still need help ask at the → Commons:Help desk in any language you like to use. --Nikbot 22:19, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
File:BobHolness.JPG - last warning
editHello Lanzinho, please STOP uploading copyrighted material unless you have a written permission of the photographer or copyright owner. Your account can be blocked for that.
If you have questions regarding our license policy, please ask at the Help desk but do not upload this file again. Thanks for understanding. --Elya (talk) 16:45, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- Look, I put the photo, but do not know who took the picture? --Lanzinho (talk) 17:29, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reaction on my talk page! In this case, we cannot use the image. It's sad, but that's how copyright works, sorry. --Elya (talk) 17:51, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- Wait! I do not know who photographed, but I can post a comment saying if you allow me I put the picture on Wikimedia Commons and if I put it acheitar. --Lanzinho (talk) 18:05, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- sorry, but you cannot do this – because you can ask only the copyright owner for permission, which could be the photographer, or the original TV station, or an image agency like Getty … and if you find him or her, a simple „I permit to use it on Wikipeda" is not enough, they would have to release it under a free license, which means to sign something like this (in the box). What you could try: Write a serious mail to REX Features, a photo agency that has plenty of images of Bob Holness, and kindly ask for permission to use one of them. You should use one of the text examples on this page - explaining them what a free license means, and asking to release one image (maybe with a low resolution) under this license. (remember: „for Wikipedia“ is not enough!) Most of these inquiries are not successful, but maybe you are lucky ;-) – Good luck! Regards, --Elya (talk) 21:29, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
