Estou saindo agora de bike pelo centro para produzir imagens noturnas e amanhã vou fazer dos lugares que você pediu, dá para produzir alguns QI do que você mencionou aqui @ArionEstar: . Categories

It would be really nice if you actually screened the keywords of the media that you upload from Flickr first before changing them into Wikimedia categories. I am wondering, how many images did you actually upload today without checking if the categories that you entered were correct or not? A few hundred? A few thousand? Perhaps it would be a good idea to ask the administrators to wave their magic wand and remove all categories from your uploads because most, if not all, are at least partially incorrect, and many completely such as with this one. It would cost more work to remove those uploads from all the incorrect categories than add the correct categories to uncategorised files. - Takeaway (talk) 00:45, 29 May 2015 (UTC)

Okay, but it would seem you are not asking the administrators to remove all the categories now? Which means that more than 1000 images or more are still categorised into categories that are absolutely incorrect? If it takes 1 minute per file to find the correct category (which is really fast), it would take 16 hours or more to clear up your present incorrect uploads of 1000 (or more) images. - Takeaway (talk) 17:07, 29 May 2015 (UTC)

That is why I suggested to have all the categories removed, and put into a new category such as Category:Uplooads by user The Photographer. And then find the correct categories when you, or other people, have time to do so. Now you are again uploading media to categories that are incorrect, creating a huge amount of work for other people just to remove all the incorrect images from categories that have little or nothing to do with the uploads. For instance this one here that you have uploaded -> [1]. Each category that you had put it in was not the correct one. - Takeaway (talk) 17:46, 29 May 2015 (UTC)

There are still problems with your use of categories. For example, please stop using Category:Eos (like you did in File:ASPENS! (5032095112).jpg, Category:Eos refers to w:Eos, the Greek goddess of the dawn rather than a type of Canon camera. • October 1 – October 9: Vote for election committee (ideally comprised of three members)
• October 10: Election committee starts work
• October 20 – November 9: Nomination phase for candidacies
• November 10 – December 10: Elections
• December 15: Results announced

You don't know what you are talking about (me). And yes, it is politics. Not to mention your poor knowledge of history. So you don't like Che Guevara, and that's fine. I supported this nomination, but I'd like to defend Wilfredor's vote. There are a lot of people who do not like Guevara and find his transformation into a pop culture icon distasteful and/or potentially dangerous. Call it "lack of wow" if you want, but there are a variety of possible moral/ethical objections people express at FPC. I've seen opposes because of animal abuse, opposes due to allegations of propaganda, opposes due to the view that an image promotes a company/product, opposes because someone was standing on train tracks, etc. -- none of those have to do with the photo. To feature something is to highlight/celebrate it in a way, and I see no problem with objecting for moral/ethical reasons. Flickypedia soft launch and a huge thank you

Dear fellow Commons photographer,

I hope this message finds you well. As you might already know, the Flickr Foundation has been busy creating a new Flickr-to-Commons bridge (“Flickypedia”) this year. After a successful demo at the GLAM Wiki Conference in Montevideo, the Flickr Foundation team is now inviting all members of the Commons Photographers User Group to be the first to review their alpha, reporting any technical issues or other feedback via the Flickypedia project talk page.

At the same time, this message is an opportunity for me to thank you for your trust and support over the past couple of years. Since 2017, we've grown into being one of the largest user groups in the Wikimedia universe. I've tremendously enjoyed interacting with all of our members when it came to joint photowalks at Wikimanias, virtual Zoom meetings where we covered a wide variety of photography topics, as well as our annual “Most memorable shot of the year”, among many other events. As I'm not running for an official position in our current board election, this will be my last message on behalf of the user group to you. Thanks for all the happy moments we shared together over the years! I hope you'll continue creating free images for the millions of people we serve through Wikipedia and Commons.
