Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Bilder von Hochspannungsleitungen

Hallo, ich bin einer von 200.000 freiwilligen Mitarebitern des OpenStreetMap-Projektes. Wir Geodaten für eine freie Weltkarte. Dort habe ich mich auf Hochspannungsleitungen spezielisiert. Bei dir scheint das ja ähnlich zu sein und tendiert Richtung Stahlkonstruktionen. Mir haben besonders deine Bilder von Zazenhausen geholfen es in der Karte richtig zu verkabeln, wenn auch noch nicht perfekt. Solltest du mal wieder an einem Hochspannungsmasten vorbei kommen (besonders gerne Bahnstrom) kannst du mir gerne ein Bild oder eine Beschreibung mit Mastnummer und Leitungsnamen an bahnpirat@nickname.berlin.de schicken oder hier im wiki an mein Benutzerkonto. Was wird dann daraus?

Hey Zonk743, thanks for your pictures of the RCN Konstantynów. Unfortunately, some of the pictures are not of good quality because of a too long shutter time. PNG vs JPG

Hallo Zonk, ich finde immer wieder Fotos von dir, meistens sehr große Dateien im PNG-Format und häufig trotz hoher Auflösung irgendwie unscharf. PNG ist für Fotos nicht das bestmögliche Format, nur wenn irgengdwie die Transparenzfunktion benötigt wird. Versuche mal statt dessen ein JPG in guter oder bester Qualität und vergleiche die Ergebnisse. Bei JPG fasst der Algorithmus Flächen und Linien zusammen und oft sieht dann das Ergebnis besser aus.--Giftzwerg 88 (talk) 05:23, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

Hallo Zonk43, du hattest unter Category:SAPPI einige Kategorien umbenannt. Bitte mache so etwas so, dass die leeren alten Kategorien mittels Template:Category redirect auf die neuen verweisen. Speziell bei Sappi könnte man übrigens auch englische Namen verwenden, da das eine südafrikanische Firma ist und nicht jeder dort deutsch spricht; insofern waren die alten Namen vielleicht besser. -- Gerd Fahrenhorst (talk) 10:26, 29 January 2022 (UTC)

Ich finde die Bezeichnung "SAPPI-Papierfabrik" besser, denn nicht jeder weiß unbedingt, was SAPPI herstellt. In vielen Landkarten ist eine größere Fabrik oft als "Papierfabrik", "Zementwerk", o.ä. verzeichnet.

Hallo Znok43,

da solltest du noch einen Lizenzbaustein nachtragen. Wenn das nicht geschieht, wird das Bild nach etwa einer Woche gelöscht werden. Man kann aber auch gelöschte Bilder später wiederherstellen und den fehlenden Lizenzbaustein nachtragen, wenn du ihn selbst nachträgst oder zumindest klar sagst, welcher es sein soll.
