English: The Martin P5M Marlin was designated P5M with the U.S. Navy (and with the U.S. Coast Guard) until 18 September 1962 when, with the introduction of the Tri-Service aircraft designation system, all Marlins still in service were redesignated P-5. It was the last operational flying boat of the United States Navy.
