Ace of Space was an adventurer with an alien power belt.

History

One day in 1940, as playboy and pilot "Ace" Egan was flying his personal plane, he encountered a red and yellow alien space ship that crashlanded on Earth. A giant three-eyed yellow and red alien came from inside of the craft and was near death. Unable to survive in Earth's atmosphere, the alien told "Ace" Egan of an invasion from outer space by an alien race known as the Slogons. As he was dying, he gave his power belt to Ace.

• This version of Ace of Space, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023.
