Notes
- In the Pre-Crisis Multiverse and the early version of the Pre-Flashpoint Multiverse, the space between dimensions, occasionally named Limbo, has appeared several times in the Silver Age and early Modern Age, first in Justice League of America #21.
- The concept of "The Bleed" (and its red coloring) was originally created for the Wildstorm Multiverse in The Authority #1. Following the merger of Wildstorm into the 52 Multiverse as "Earth-50", the Bleed was also merged into the DC Multiverse.
- After the Flashpoint, the term is more clearly defined as the space between the multiversal worlds (also encompassing the House of Heroes and, originally, the Rock of Eternity), being separated from the Sphere of the Gods by the Speed Force Wall.
- In the Arrowverse Multiverse, Natalie Irons was able to escape her Earth's destruction during the Crisis by falling into the Bleed; she was stuck there until she crashed on Superman's Earth.[3]
Trivia
- The Bleed seemingly exists beyond the Divine Continuum, into other multiverses of the Omniverse which are owned by other companies, including the Marvel Multiverse where it is primarily referred to as Superflow, but occasionally called Bleed, like it is in the DC mythos.
