Bruce Wayne was the vigilante Batman.

History

While training under Ra's al Ghul, Bruce Wayne was alerted to Clark Kent's accidental masquerade as him aboard a yacht, where he was _targeted by the assassin Slade Wilson. This training would eventually provide Wayne with the necessary skills to become the vigilante Batman.

Years later, Wayne adopted Dick Grayson as his ward and began training him to serve as his partner. Grayson encountered Kent, a meeting Wayne eventually heard about. Recognizing Kent and suspicious of his journalistic investigations, Batman attempted to interrogate him. He was unfortunately completely blindsided by Kent's Kryptonian superpowers, resulting in him being unmasked.

Wayne's cape was later taken by Kent to be part of a prototype of his superhero costume.
