It's funny, though. The stars are slightly different in the future, too. The people of Metropolis speak an unfamiliar language. Even being with a team of people that're like me... even after they've tried to hard to make me feel welcome... I still feel... I dunno... kinda lonesome. Supergirl

Synopsis for "Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes"

Supergirl and the rest of the Legion team up to save Metropolis from a falling satellite. Once averted the disaster, Kara discovers the satellite is some sort of lab of Brainiac 5. Brainy has been experimenting on an ancient 'Brocian hunting statue' that has been rumored to have magical properties, and has accidentally created a "magical time bomb" that explodes right in the faces of Supergirl and Brainiac.

That explosion reminds Supergirl that is kind of how she got to the future. As returning to Earth after saving Bizarro World, her rocketship got caught in an explosion somehow flung her into the 30th century... although it wasn't the 30th century she had visited before.

Right away she was found by the Legion of Super-heroes who begged her to stay for a while (ignoring Brainiac's objections). Kara stuck around, having many adventures with her new friends and eventually joining them as a full-fledged Legionnaire. She felt at home in the future, not having to deal with the darkness of her own time and being surrounded by friends... but even so, she still felt lonely.

Shortly after that explosion caused by the experiment of Brainiac-5, Kara visits the Superman Museum and walks to the Supergirl Memorial Hall in where she learns how Supergirl, "during one of the greatest battles in history ... was killed stopping the worst threat the Earth had ever known, giving her life for her adopted planet." And then she sees how she dies.

Kara is still trying to pull herself together when Brainiac calls her about an emergency. It turns out that his earlier experiment creating a "magical time bomb" has summoned Satan Girl to Earth. And she has begun enslaving the population of the planet. Including the Legion of Super-Heroes.

In barely four days Satan Girl takes over the world, turning it into a hellish place, and starts building a citadel to open up a dimensional rift for all her race.

In order to save the world, Supergirl and Brainiac-5 have to travel to the future to fight Satan Girl and then back to the past to restore the timeline.

After the battle, Kara decides it is time to go back to the past... after sharing a quick kiss with Brainiac-5.

Before she leaves, though, Saturn Girl wipes her knowledge from her death. And Brainiac 5 vows himself privately he won't let her die alone.
