Aria is a song from the 2017 live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast and is the first of four new songs written for the film. It is sung by Madame de Garderobe during the Prince's debutante ball, while her husband, Cadenza, accompanies her on the harpsichord. The Prince and all his guests merrily dance away to her operatic voice. However, before she can go further, the ball is interrupted when an old beggar woman arrives at the castle seeking shelter from the winter storm.
Lyrics
Oh, how divine!
Glamour, music, and magic combine
See the maidens so anxious to shine
Look for a sign that enhances chances
She'll be his special one
What a display
What a breathtaking, thrilling array
Every prince, every dog has his day
Let us sing with passion, gusto, fit to bust
Oh, not a care in the world!
Oh, how divine!
Glamour, music and magic combine
See the maidens so anxious to shine
Look for a sign, he will choose her, schmooze her
Make her the special one
What a display
What a breathtaking, thrilling array
A majestic, exotic soirée
Let us sing with passion, gusto, fit to bust
Oh, not a care in the world!
