David Thewlis is a British actor, voice actor, author, director, and screenwriter, who is best known for playing King Einon in the 1996 Universal film Dragonheart with Pete Postlethwaite (who starred together for the second time after James and the Giant Peach) and Remus Lupin in the Harry Potter film series.
His Disney roles are the voice of Earthworm in the 1996 live-action/stop-motion film James and the Giant Peach, Lyons in War Horse, and Nick Davies in the 2013 DreamWorks/Touchstone Pictures film The Fifth Estate. He also played Ralf, Bruno's father in the 2008 Miramax film The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, and will portray Peylak in the upcoming 20th Century Studios films: Avatar: Fire and Ash, Avatar 4, and Avatar 5.
