The Hangman's Tree is first seen in the 1953 film Peter Pan. It is an old tree with several hidden entrances in it that Peter Pan and the Lost Boys use to enter and exit the tree. Near the end of the movie, it is destroyed by the bomb that Captain Hook had disguised as a present from Wendy.
Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and the Lost Boys rebuilt their hideout after the bomb destroyed it. Peter takes Jane, Wendy's daughter, to his hideout after having a flying tour in Neverland.
Jake and his crew, accompanied by the Darling children, visit Hangman's Tree in the special Battle for the Book. Captain Jake, his crew and his new mateys walk with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell to Hangman's Tree to hide the Doom Stone in Captain Hook's Last Stand!.
Hangman's Tree appears in the jungle area of the Pirates of the Wasteland level, holding a projection screen portal back to Tortooga. By accessing three jungle symbols, Mickey can climb up further on the outside of the tree.
