Jim Cummings

James Jonah "Jim" Cummings is a veteran American voice actor and singer, who has appeared in nearly four hundred roles. He is known for his ability to emulate Sterling Holloway's soft, timid Pooh voice, Paul Winchell's crazy-like Tigger laugh, as well as for giving a certain gruff-sounding voice to several other characters, such as Pete. He also narrated the Aladdin read-along storybook.

Background

Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Cummings moved to New Orleans when he was young. It was there that he worked on Mardi Gras floats and as a door-to-door salesman. He then moved to California, where he worked odd jobs before he became a voice actor.

He has voiced many characters in several Disney productions, most notably Darkwing Duck, Negaduck, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Pete, Ray, Bonkers D. Bobcat, Kaa, Ed, Big Bad Wolf, among others. He also provided the opening narration for the Phineas and Ferb special "Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars".
